Welcome to
The Realm

In the midst of chaos , trials and tribulations
Words all too familiar, spoken in the light of day
Still I continue to evolve without delay
Still I rise above it, my soul at play

I sit in darkness, in silence
To create art that invokes your soul to peace
The least I can do amongst the beasts
Mastering my calmness, still, and patient
Rise to the occasion, not for entertainment
The world has enough of that…mirrors and smoked screens
The illusionist knows what I mean

— Professor Hectorius

Professor Hectorius

Where It All Began...
Discovering My Calling

Before he was known as Professor Hectorius, Hector lived a normal life in the city of Philadelphia for 23 years. While there he acquired some creativity in the graffiti arts, and made a name for himself as an artist. As time passed, he took interest in dabbling with wood, and discovered a love for all sorts of tools. He loved to build things.

Life would change his course and he created a whole new life in Florida. Another few years passed, but for Hector, mentally things were changing. Tired of working for the construction industry, his heart would start questioning life.

There has always been more to him than average. The feeling of wanting not to “settle” intensified as days, weeks and months grew upon him. Now yearning with every breath to claim a stake in his life, he started to find ways to redefine himself, only to discover dead ends.

The year was 2015 when he received a disturbing call. His grandmother was in the hospital with a high possibility of not surviving.

Events were clearly predestined to happen now. To clear his mind, Hector returned to memory lane. While family proceeded with funeral arrangements, he revisited the art community for several days. One particular night, while viewing the works of artists, he came across a young dragon. Instantly the young dragon imprinted himself upon Hector. Magically the young dragon planted a mental seed of curiosity, and it would only intensify in coming days.

The time came and he laid his grandmother to rest. It was time to take the lonely journey back to Florida. While traveling back for 17 hours, he couldn’t shake the visions of the young dragon. It was a golden, but aged, mechanical dragon. On two occasions while fueling and resting, he physically met the young dragon. But it wasn’t until he arrived in Florida that the young dragon spoke to him. Alone in his home researching what he was experiencing, the word “Steampunk” sparked his curiosity, and it was then he unlocked the seed planted within him. Inspired by the young dragon Hector discovered his first experience in time traveling.

“I am Annu,” said the dragon with a calm voice, “follow my flame and I will keep you inspired forever. Your grandmother has spoken and we have much work to do. You are my apprentice. As you progress I will gift you knowledge.”

(Annu) AH-NEW—A dragon of enlightenment and spiritualism; forward positive, to make the soul new. To be one with God and the universe. Years later this is the only information granted by the dragon thus far. My opinion of Annu will soon be shared.

However, meeting the dragon opened up the whole world of Steampunk for me and a whole new life emerged.

“It is through the process of magic and believing in it that one sees evidence of it in reality,” said the Dragon Annu. With that being said, Annu invoked a spell of inspiration, and in this particular piece of art, it happens to play a crucial part for the Professor going forward in time, and backward in time, and into new dimensions of existence.

One late evening, the Professor was tinkering in his laboratory. Out of curiosity, and having a yearning desire to make some type of impact on the world, he started to break the rules with materials he had gathered over time. It started with simply combining different elements such as magnets, copper, water, resistors etc. He worked with it until in the very early hours of the morning when he fell asleep from exhaustion. Suddenly, he was awakened by a glowing light, and what appeared to be waves of energy emanating from the Hall Tree. Never backing down from his curiosity, he approached the Hall Tree and realized soft smoke rising from within the mirror. He couldn’t resist slowly touching the mirror where the smoke escaped it, when he suddenly realized it was a portal of some sort. He rushed to his table to scrambled through mountains of papers to search for the formula he had used that had made this possible.

Suddenly the portal disappeared. In frustration he cried out loud ,“Why? What happened?” while continuing to read through his drawings.

From the corner of his eye, he noticed his dragon statue, Annu, was breathing and smoke appeared to be exiting his mouth. Annu calmly spoke, and assured Professor Hectorius not to fear the moment. The secret was within the dragon.

Annu went on to explain the history and process of multidimensional time traveling using the portal. Annu enlightened Professor Hectorius about what he must now vow to do through the use of the portal. The dragon told the professor that he would be given sequences and coordinates to use with the portal, along with missions to complete while in the 5th dimension. He promised he would also accompany the professor should the mission require it. Annu made it clear that by extending their boundaries in time and dimension, they would be embarking on some risky travels, but in all cases it would be for the greater good, to provide beauty and inspiration to the world. He then revealed that the portal was to be called “The 5th Transition.”

His first missions were easy and safe, allowing the Professor to become accustomed to multidimensional time travel. They were short travels to distant times and places, where he saw many wonders of science and art and humanity. The portal allowed him to meet with great artists and scientists and philosophers, each imparting their knowledge and creativity to the Professor. This allowed the Professor’s transformation to occur exponentially providing great wisdom in a short amount of time.

Using the relics they brought through The 5th Transition, Annu inspired the Professor to invent mystical steam-punk creations to sell to the good people of our time. Many of these creations have been sold in the past few years, with the Professor always sharing the incredible stories of each piece with customers who purchased them, always with the understanding that they are never to speak of him to (UPI) United Portal Intelligence of course.

Professor Hectorius is now in a 5th Dimensional state of mind, no longer an apprentice, but equal to Annu in wisdom and magic. This is the realm of Professor Hectorius. He looks forward to sharing with you his continued adventures traveling through the 5th Transition to find artifacts and inspiration.
